As a starting point in Euromonitor, it often helps to put a simple search (like beer and germany) in the search box in the very upper right of the window. This quick approach to searching can work pretty well in Euromonitor.

A search like beer and germany returns many results, many of which may not look useful based on the titles.  However, in the top few results, you'll likely find relevant and useful items. As with many of our databases you can filter (or refine) results by limiting the items returned by "Categories and topics," "Geographies" or other limiting factors in the left frame of the results page.

Alternatively, if you'd like to use Euromonitor in a more sophisticated manner, we have two nice LibGuides that will be a big help.  See

Country Information in Euromonitor's Passport GMID (Global Market Information Database)

and

Industry Information in Euromonitor's Passport GMID (Global Market Information Database)

Explore the tabbed pages of the guides to see how to step through the various layers of the database.

It is also useful to click on the Help link in the upper right border of any page and take a look at the videos that Euromonitor has prepared.
